Bachelor of Biomedicine Honours Year – BH-BMED
The Melbourne Dental School’s Honours program is available to graduates with a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Biomedicine or equivalent. The School offers a multidisciplinary environment so if you have a major in one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics or Anatomy you are encouraged to apply.
Honours students are located in high-tech laboratories at Bio21 and the Melbourne Dental School. Depending on your research project, you could be learning advanced techniques in: Immunology and vaccine development, Molecular biology, Bacterial pathogenesis, Microarray technology, Flow cytometry, Confocal microscopy, Bioinformatics, Peptide chemistry, Mass spectrometry, Proteomics, Protein chemistry, NMR, Molecular modelling, Biophysics, Materials engineering of Facial imaging.
World-class researchers are offering projects in 2015. Some of the areas in which projects are being offered include: Bacterial Pathogenesis, Acquired and Mucosal Immunology, Oral Cancer, Innate Immunity and Host Defence, Vaccine Development, Biomaterials and Tissue Repair, Nanoparticle-based Therapeutics.
